Mapuche Resistance Groups Attack Police Encampment in Lleu-Lleu


Communique

Wallmapu, September 20th, 2008:

To our people and to International opinion, we inform the following:

1. On the mourning (2 am) of Thursday, September 18, Mapuche resistance groups of the Lleu-Lleu area ambushed "El Guairao" police encampment, located on property estates owned by "Forestal Mininco" logging company, where Special Police Forces were posted.

2. This action was carried out by a column of 12 pu weichafe lleulleuche (Warriors of the Lleu - Lleu area), whom busted in with hunting riffles ambushing the encampment in its totality, and could not repel the attack.

3. The objective of this action is to initialize a new phase in our struggle, through direct armed combat to the Chilean military forces, occupying Mapuche Territory, which have raided and attacked our communities in conflict in different areas of Wallmapu.

4. This action is of the will of the resistance in our communities, which have faced repression with determination, such as the armed resistances of Temucuicui, Chol Chol, Choque, Tranaquepe and Las Huellas.

5. This action is a concrete response to the militarization of our territory, and is the continuing strategy of the Arauco Malleco Coordinating Committee (CAM), in order to detain the capitalist investment in Wallmapu.
