Yesterday, Wednesday October 1st, 2008, a contingent of 50 special force Chilean police officers entered into the Choque area of the Communities in Conflict, with the clear intention of detaining our process in the reclamation of ancient land, usurped by logging companies Mininco and Volterra.

The Chilean National Police Force have carried out excessive acts of violence in using their fire arms (meaning guns, revolvers and sub-machine guns), indiscriminately shooting a great quantity of munitions against our people. Unto this, we reserve the right to defend ourselves with dignity, leaving a police Sergeant wounded and generating damage to police vehicles.

This shows our unbreakable will to confront any enemy that wants to attack us in our communities.

This is a process of reclamation of land that is based mainly on logging production, as a first step towards the definitive reclamation of our territory.

We clearly state that we are willing to die in confrontation if necessary, and if there are casualties on either side it will be the sole responsibility of the Chilean State, that stubbornly insists on militarizing our territory, Wallmapu.

Lastly, we call out to the Communities in Conflict, to continue their reclamation processes following the path left by Leftraru, Pelantraru and other heroes of our resistance movement.

For the Reclamation of our Ancestral Territory!
