Finally, the judges of the Cañete Court sentenced Lonko [Chief] Ivan Llanquileo for "possession of ammunition" and absolved him of "Reception of stolen goods."
The prosecution could not prove who owned the belongings that were allegedly stolen and were found in the community house.
The munitions found in the community house were a couple of hunting cartridges and M16 bullets.
On Tuesday, July 14th, the final hearing will take place where the judges will determine the penalty of the sentence, keeping in mind that the Anti-Mapuche prosecutor, Mario Elgueta, pleaded for 541 days in prison.
Meanwhile, the process for "possession of a war arm" continues to be delayed in the Chilean Military Appeals Court, as Mininco Forestry Inc. prepares its offence for the reclaimed estate, controlled by the community.

Call for Solidarity Unto the New Political Trials Against the Mapuche
On Wednesday, July 8th, at 9 AM, the Oral Hearing against Lonko [Chief] Ivan Llanquileo of the Juana Millahual Community of Rukañanco will be tried, accused of "reception of stolen goods," and "possession of ammunition."
This new judicial antic seeks to give licence and strengthen future repressive attacks against the Lonko [Chief] and his community that could turn into legal actions towards the "usurpation of land" and even help sustain the set-up for "possession of a fire arm." For this reason the Lonko [Chief] spent 11 months in preventive custody processed by Military Court, where no evidence has been found that links him to the M16 riffle found in a shack kilometres away from from home, after two years of investigation.
The Mapuche community of Rukañanco has lived in reclaimed territory from Mininco Forestry Inc. for more than a decade. That is where complete territorial control is carried out with the harvest of wheat, potatoes, vegetables, the breeding of animals and wood work. Moreover, traditional ceremonies such as the Trawun, Guillatun, Llellipun and Palin are done more frequently, reconstructing their Mapuche being with dignity and autonomy.
The community also played a crucial role in the setback of mining projects that were beginning to develop along the coast of Lake Lleu-Lleu. The halt to the advancement of these capitalist threats, which still threaten to invade the Lleu-Lleu area, was achieved through direct and effective resistance.
The Town of ANGOL
We also call on solidarity for Lamwen [sister] Mireya Figueroa of the Tricauco Community, whom is gravely ill and is also confronting Chilean Justice in the Angol courts from 11 AM tomorrow.
The Lamwen [Sister] went through six years of clandestinity in defence of her integrity unto political trial that sought to incarcerate her for many years under the Anti-terrorist Law. She is accused of participating in the burning of the Poluco and Pidenco estates in December, 2001.
The Lamwen [sister] presents a delicate state of health where her life is at stake, with breast cancer spread over her entire body.
Moreover any political consideration, the Lamwen [sister] needs the support of her brothers in these difficult times. Because before we are fighters, we are Mapuche... and before being Mapuche, we are human....
