A legal appeal will be presented against President Bachelet by a Mapuche prisoner

Santiago, Chile -- Legal representatives of the Mapuche political prisoner Patricia Troncoso informed today that due the rejection of the Supreme Court of Justice in order to check her case, they will appeal to Chillan´s Court. According to the Chilean high Court, its resolution was founded in the legal action that is out of her jurisdiction. The lawyer Patricio Bell pointed out that the appeal will be against President Michelle Bachelet due that she considered that her rights were not respected. Troncoso, in a hunger strike of almost 100 days has to be taken from Angol´s prison, 690 kilometers far from its capital, in order to be hospitalized as a consequence of her bad health. Her relatives of the prisoner denounced that at the Hospital there is a police siege that obviously was done as a psychological pressing in order to change her mind. Humanitarian Organizations pointed out that her long-hunger strike tries to call the attention of Chilean Government on the situation where there is Mapuche´s population in general and mainly the politician prisoners. In last hours, more than 840 professionals, intellectual people and artists make a call to all those people who respect the human being and its rights in order to show their solidarity with Mapuche politicians that are in a hunger strike. They are also demanding the revision and revocation of the judge process that condemned to 10 years to the activist Troncoso, because irregularities were committed; for example, the witnesses that covered their faces and the reward to them with millionaire funds.
